Is your vehicle eqipped with a "Car Connect" device? as this is the only way I can think it would perform the functionality you mention - since updating the unit have you connected the TomTom to the car connect via Bluetooth? and made the setting changes necessary to use the device in the change preferences menu section - Mike |

I fail to see how you can dim your lights with Bluetooth _________________ Go Classic

it was working like that before i downloaded new maps, that is the only thing that has changed so the car connect must be fitted to the car ....i have tried switching bluetooth back on and it still does not link up ..........so i think i may need to call the auto fitter and ask his advice as he fitted it.............but thanks for trying |

When you updated the map did you also update the software on the device? - tap the sat strength meter and report back what number is displayed in the version box to the right of the screen, if you have updated the software (or it was updated as a result of a newer map) the bond between your 700 and car connect will have to be re-established - Mike |

exactly as you say the software did update but i do not know how to re-establish the bond as the auto fitter that put it in connected it through the car stereo and not bluetooth so it now mystifies me as to do i have to back track the update or is there another way? |
