Hi, can someone please help me, i lost my sd card so i went to myguidegps.com and downloaded there update but stupidly didnt relize i still needed the files on the old card. I am now left with a completely different file system and it doesnt even have satnav on it now only settings ie date time and multimedia? which it didnt have before. does anyone know how i can do a complete reset and get my old satnav back.

i would think that it would need the the original card (do you have a back up of the sdcard) if not then youll need to get in touch with myguide they may issue you a new sd card with the maps on it but it may not be free or you might be lucky and get a free replacment _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Thanks alix, i have emailed them and still awaiting a reply. Unfortunatley i dont have a backup on my pc. i have managed to get a copy of mobile navigator 6 but i dont have a clue as to were to install it using active sync, im hoping someone here can let me know how the file structure is set up, again thanks |

Have you still got the cd that came with your myguide 3100? you dont need any files on that sdcard, the cd can prepare the sdcard for flashing the internal rom and reinstalling the maps. |

Thanks Doughy, i have tried that everything went well untill i pressed navigate then i got error msg HardwareIDerrod? myguide have still not replied.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated folks. |

But isnt the update on my guide for the 3000? ive tried that and the navigating didnt work, then i made a sdcard with the cd and reflashed the internal rom and everything works. |

Doughy, how did you do it? in case (probably) im doing it wrong. and yes you right it was the 3000 upgrade. |

Get a empty sdcard in a card reader, put your myguide cd in your pc, it will give you an option to prepare card for firmware/flash memory write. Once it has done that put it in your myguide 3100 device and press the reset button at the back, after that put your card in with the maps on , if you dont have that the cd can reinstall those to. |
