Anyone any seen the quirk below?
Normally, I get a warning at the range from the camera expected and as I've set. As I approach the camera, I get a warning and see the distance on the screen 'popup' reduce and get pretty much to zero at the camera as indicated on the screen and outside (the real camera location and POI on the GO's map correllate).
For a very FEW 30mph cameras (same POI set as others that work ok), I see the following:
a. Camera position on map and outside correllate ok.
b. Warning and countdown are off by ~100 yards. When the pop-up count does go near zero there's no POI on the map in that location and nothing that looks like a camera outside?!?
Anyone know what this might be symptomatic of and how to fix it?

Is your actual position being displayed correctly on the map when you experiance this or is it lagging behind where you actually are?
I have had position lagging such as this when using the 910 from time to time usually when the unit has been on for more than three hours with mp3's playing - Mike |

I get this sort of thing when there are several cameras in the area - nearest ones to me are two redlight cameras and a 30mph. I have greater warning distance set for speed cameras, so, although the 30mph camera is beyond the first redlight, it goes off first, then one redlight. Those two seem to compete for my attention and they at the same time blank out the third (a redlight) until I've gone past, whereupon the third gets a bit of TT time and warns, but sort of strangulatedly!! It happens also with two speed cameras a few miles away on a regular route. The first camera is on the opposite side of a tiny stretch of dual carriageway, therefore not on route and shouldn't warn me. But it does and I guess it's because I might possibly do a U turn at a gap before the second camera. It sadly masks the second camera until I'm actually going under it.
I've decided to accept that the ways of TT warnings are occasionally above my head. _________________ Dennis

I'm unconvinced either of these suggestions is the problem. And it's a 40 not 30 camera in this example from the database map on this site.
Centre Latitude: 51.59366872247946 Longitude: -0.36589622497558594
Mp3's aren't an issue - it's a TTG V2.
As I pass the physical camera I pass it as a POI on the GO's map (no lag). But the popup (showing a 40mph camera) is still showing the camera ~100 yds away. When it gets to ~ zero futher down the road heading south there's no camera near. |

You said 30mph in your original post. However I don't think it's the speed. That's a dual carriageway and I still think you're getting the run around from an echo of the camera for doing a U turn.
Tell you what, next time you're doing that trip, after the correct camera, turn off into Hillview Gdns, then Headstone Ln, back along Elmcroft Cresc into George Vale and see how it comes up again? I reckon you've perhaps got your warning distance set far enough to take you all the way back round. _________________ Dennis

Another case of a sat nav system causing a strange routing :P Usually they can do it all by themselves DennisN :D
I agree with your previous reply - the logic behind warnings in not only TT but also other units, is wierd. _________________ Phil |

What I find odd is that most cameras are just fine. There's something about the conditions for some of them that's making it all not work right.
Could it be that the map's poor there and the warings are based on actual rather than "snapped to road position" there? |

Personally, I don't think the cameras snap to the road, but that the road and warnings snap to the cameras - if you look close enough at some of the pmobile cameras, for example, you'll find several which are off road, but which warn.
But your first comment there is what Phil and I both find. _________________ Dennis
