Hi,
Last time I posted I had what I called a 'meltdown' of my refurbished Quest. Ended up sending it back and got another one in return. This morning, I ran into a bit of a problem. Here it is in its entirety. I apologize for the length...So as to avoid confusing matters, I have successfully loaded some maps unto the Quest. Now, working with the Quest, I was trying to develop and store some new Locations. So here is what I ran into.
I can't seem to effectively save data by category. For example I have
an exhibition scheduled in late May of my work at the Bruce Museum in
Greenwich, CT. Here is what I attempted to do.
1. Selected 'Find near Me'
2. Selected 'Addresses'
3. Chose 'Connecticut'
4. Chose 'Greenwich'
5. Enter the following address: '1 Museum'
6. The addr. pops up on the 'address' screen
7. Selected 'save'
8. 'Saved as my Location' screen appears
Here is where the problems begin...
9. Highlighted the little black square symbol
10.Selected a new symbol, a green box
11.Highlighted '1 Museum', clicked OK, changed the name '1 Museum' to
'Bruce Museum'
12.Navigated to 'Category'
13 Changed 'unfiled' to 'Shows' (a category that I had previously
created several days ago.)
14.Clicked OK
15.Selected 'Find'
16.Selected 'My Locations' Under 'All Categories'... '1 Museum Dr' is
listed first. Observed that the new symbol (green square) is not
there - just the black square.
17.When I click 'OK' on the highlighted 'All Categories' and scroll
down to 'Locations' and click OK, neither '1 Museum Dr' or the
renamed 'Bruce Museum' appear.
18.When I select '1 Museum Dr' in 'All Categories', click OK, I get
the correct address. If I click 'Save', I end up back where I was in
the beginning. Same old little black square for a symbol. Category is
unfiled. Only change is now the original '1 Museum' is designated as
'1 Museum 2'!
19. If I open up 'Recent Finds', Yep, there at the top of the list is
'1 Museum Dr'
The problem is that I know longer am able to modify symbols or place
my hotels or other designations into the appropriate Categories such
that they are 'saved'.
Hope I have made some sense out of this. I know that I am probably
doing something really obviously stupid...
Thanks.
