Waiting for GPS

Having just bought installed activated a navman 3450 and smart st professional version 1.91 i am unable to get a GPS fix in conjunction with my IPAQ 3970. Have downloaded GPS info programme which seams to indicate that its picking up the satellites. Have also loaded new serial driver 3.6.1.
UK Navman help line wasnt working today and US didnt think there were any problems with conflicts. Have since performed a soft reset and reloaded but still have same problem any suggestions anyone.

First off, can you access the GPS status screen? If so, is there a 'tick' in the box in the top left hand corner? Nextwhat do the GPS device and baud rate boxes say? I used my 3970, Navman sleeve and V1.91 until I got V2 of the software.
