|
|
Hi
I've just got home and found a nice shiny new copy of Navigator 5 and Europe maps (thanks for the quick service EasyDevices!). I'm trying to install it on my iPaq HX4700. I've got the application installed successfully I think (although there was no mention of Bluetooth as per the TomTom instructions). I'm now trying to install the GB maps via activesynch but it's been going for an hour now and is only at 50%.
Is there a quicker way to do this as I also want to install the France and Benelux maps, after this?
Cheers,
Matt |

Sorry, just to add. This is an install from the original TomTom CD's as it comes without the autorun SD card.

I use a card reader, and it's still, give or take, an hour or so per map. Pity they don't warn you while downloading. |

Ignore my ignorance. How do you use a card reader via activesync? |

You don't use Activesync with a Card Reader. You go straight into the Card Reader via USB.
Use Install to Other Location.
I Install the Maps onto my Hard Drive and then Copy to the Card Reader. This means I have a Backup of the Maps and the Copy/Paste is quicker than an Install.;) _________________ Richard

Thought so, just the original post stated active sync, and the reply stated that a card reader was being used. I agree copy and past from your PC. |
