Hi, Im trying to get the camera database to work on tt Hewlet pakard edition.
I copied the ov2 files a bmp files to the maps folder, the thing knows they' re there as a red box comes up where the camera should be and the only sounds I can assign are the built in tomtom ones, I copied the sounds from the database to the maps folder with the ov2 files etc.
Can anyone shed any light on this? |

For the POI's to work you need a specific BMP file each of the OV2 files you have copied across to the unit, make sure you have the correct files and that you total number of custom POI's that is loaded to your device does not exceed 39, this figure is in addition to the normal ones that are pre-loaded with the TomTom application.
The sound file is a little different, the one you downloaded needs to be named data.chk and placed into the programs/ Navigator folder on the device not the SD card, before you do this you need to re-name the original data.chk file in this specific directory (programs/ navigator), I normally name it old_data.chk then copy the new one across, soft reset the device then try configuring the warn when near POI to set-up the warnings - they will still have strange names but use the test button to listen to the warnings as you set them up, once you get it all sorted out back up the entire device - it will simplify re-loading if and when the device crashes - Mike |
