I am new to PDA.
I have a iPAQ 3950 and I am trying to install tomtom navigator 5.
When I run the program on my pocket pc, it gives me an error message
Cannot determine location of data...
I have transferred some maps to my SD, I transferred the folder
name California. Do I need to transfer the maps only, on the whole folder?
I dont have a GPS device, can I still run TomTom N 5 on my pocket pc?
need step by step instructions....
thank you, |

Use the install map facility to load a map, select advanced and load via an SD card reader, this will ensure the data is in the correct folders and format, copying the folder won't work - if you don't have a card reader it will still install but takes ages using Active Sync. As to using the device without a GPS unit - it will work as a route planner but nothing else, without the GPS it cannot know where you are. Delete the folder you copied and try again as per instructions above. Welcome to the forum - Mike |
