Hi, I read about putting a blank folder on the SD card, but that didn't work for me - still only getting 4 figures. I am using an Ipaq 3850 with PC 2003 and TT5. I have the post code files (SETUP.dat and Great_Britain.postal) in a folder called ZIP on my card.
The other strange problem that has appeared since putting TT5 on is that when TT5 is running, my LED does not flash to show that the battery is charging (it used to before) I think it is still charging but am not sure, then when I stop TT5 it starts to flash again, have you heard of this before.
I've used many of your tips tonight already, the menu creator is very useful and worked a treat, I hated not being able to arrange them as you could with TT3.
Many thanks in advance for you great assistance. |

TTN5 is utilizing 100% of the processor cycles, and is indeed drawing so much current that there's nothing left for charging. we have already listed that as a TomTom bug, but so far there;s no solution in sight. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your help. I've now upgraded to 5.1 and the post codes are working now. |

Just for general interest, for me whilst running Navigator 5.1, the PDA charging light operates normally both in the cradle and in the car (Brodit). At the end of a 3 hour journey the battery still shows 100% charge -all with a BT GPS receiver. I do not know what happened with 5.0 - I did not notice the absence of a charge light and there were no occurrences of a discharged battery.
Additionally, with 5.1, the four function buttons, calender, contacts etc appear to operate quite normally while Navigator is running in the background. I can play Solitaire with Navigator in the background - not while driving! The central toggle button controls volume and Navigator zoom.
Using Ipaq 3970 with either TomTom or Ryaltek BT receiver. |

I too am using TT5 on an Ipaq (6340) and it charges fine in my Brodit charger. The Ipaq ia a combined PDA and phone and there is enough processor power left to operate the phone OK, get contacts etc etc. I am using it with a Parrot 3300 bluetooth combined car phone kit and sat nav receiver.
So maybe it depends on the Ipaq? Or the way it is set up in the car? |
