I'm considering getting this although there are a few things putting me off, firstly is the european map situation, like everyone else I have asked TomTom and received a poor response.
The second thing is, if I buy this for my spv C500, will I be stuck with using this phone as long as I want to still use tomtom? At some point we will all be switching to windows mobile 5 devices?
If it doesn't run on windows mobile 5 straight away and requires updated, will tomtom treat this as a new app and charge for it, or release a patch? |

It does run on Windows Mobile 5 just fine.
You can get a new activation key for your product every 6 months. If you change your mobile phone more often then you'll have a problem. _________________ Lutz

It's about time they made mobiles upgradeable in a hardware sense like a pc where you build it to your own requirements. Instead of having to get a whole new handset everytime the technology improves. _________________ Nokia 6600 running TT Mobile 5.0 |

Cool, cheers. I guess the only issue would be if the network has tweaked the rom for the phone in some non standard way. |
