|
|
Yesterday, my Bluetooth GPS switch off on its own when I left it for 30 mins.
Its very likely that it was simply a flat battery, although this in itself is a potential problem as it had only been on for 1 hour.
When I switched it back on, the left LED flashed Blue/Red, which is a condition that I havn't seen before.
The right LED was red, indicating that it was charging.
Does anyone know what this indication means??

would be intested to know what any of the lights mean as I got mine and there was nothing other than a picture of how to plug it in.
I had a simmilar thing happen to me but that was the battery being flat as it went away after a charge (which is another thing - how long should it be charged?)

I think that it was simply a flat battery.
Today I disconnected it from the power and started it up.. It lastest about 7 hours before the LED went red. I can now only get the left LED to go red when I switch it on
Now when I plugged it back into the power it flashed Red/Blue..
So, I think that the red LED is simply a low power warning!

Yep, the led will be green when it is charged!
Charge time is stated as 2 hours and running time 5.5 hours. |

Which LED will be green?
THe only green LED is the right one and that flashes when it has a GPS lock.. There is no other green LED. |

There is one BLUE LED which lights when there is a connection to a PDA or bluetooth device.
There is one DUAL colour LED which will be GREEN when the battery status is good and the unit is in use, and will turn RED when the battery status falls below 10% and the unit is in use.
When the battery status falls below 5% the light will remain RED and the bluetooth transmitter will shut down, so you won't be able to connect to the satellite receiver from another bluetooth device such as a PDA.
There, a better answer than TomTom support can give :P |

Apologies, it is the BLUE LED that is the dual colour one... |

Both LEDs are dual colour.
The blue LED flashes when it is ready for a connection and steady when it has a link established. If the power drops sufficiently then it wil start to flash red to indicate low power.
The green LED flashes when it has established a fix from the satellites. It will go steady red when the unit is charging.
These are the only states that the manual mentions. |
