Hi to all,
First off, am pretty much a newbie to the GPS world and to this forum. (Infact this is the first forum I've ever posted on.) Have visited hundreds in my time, but this is by far the most organised and worth while forum/site I have visited yet. Fountain of Info. Thumbs up to the Dave and everyone else.
Ok, to the point...
I have an Ipaq H2210 and am looking to buy a CF GPS card for it.
Have narrowed my choices down to the GlobalSat BC-307, the Holux GM-270 Ultra, the SysOnChip GPS CF Plus or the SysOnChip CF 512MB Memory GPS with XTrac II
My question is, with the above cards, can I also physically have a SD card plugged in as well. I realise the SD would have to be inserted first, then the CF GPS card (due to the slots being very close together). But with these CF cards, is there room enough under the antenna?
Also, any comments on the above cards would be greatly appreciated.
Have scoured the relavent topics on the cards, but would just like more opinions.
Cheers, and sorry for the long post

Hi Chris,
I have used 'Sys on Chip CF ' for many months with a 2210 and the sensitivity and effectiveness is excellent. No problems with SD card use.
This is now may 'standard' PDA setup, prefered to BT etc.
Cheers

Hi,
I had a BC-307 which my Son now uses regularly. We both paired it with a 2210 and SD card - works very well. Have no fears.

Hi again,
Many thanks PeterB and Steve . Your quick replies and comments are greatly appreciated.
Think I'll be going with the SysOn without the memory.
Thanks

Hello There,
I have used the Globalsat BC-307 with a 2210 for over 12 months now in & out of the car & it has performed very well in all conditions. I believe it to be more robust than the bluetooth alternative (dropped connections etc).
Hope this helps |

You just put the SD card in first and then the CF card will slot in no problems.
However.. I wouldn't recommend it, I found the combination of CF GPS, SD card and Ipaq 2210 very unstable. |

Ok, first off, thanks for the replies everyone.
Glad to hear most people are having no probs with the CF/SD combo.
Support seems to be growing for the Globalsat BC-307 here.
Still not made up my mind
Have no probs sourcing a Globalsat BC-307, but having probs finding a SysOnChip GPS CF Plus. Have tried as many GPS sellers as I can find (even Ebay), but they all seem to be US based or not stocking.
Can anyone help with a Uk supplier? Is anyone selling one privately? Has anyone had experience buying from the US?
Again, all replies greatly appreciated.

Hello again,
Got my BC-307 from a guy in Hong Kong on Ebay back in Jan 04 for about £47 including postage, took about 2 weeks to arrive but woth the wait!. Just for the record 2210 was from USA & the mount was from Spain (Seidio).
