Hello people.
I got my tom tom go last saturday and have browsed this very usefull website since.. Today i got hold af a 256 mb sd card to load up even more :-)
The poi's I have found very usefull and this has been a great place to start.
I have a slight problem (well not for me) but i use a mac. I visited poiplace.co.uk and downloaded a selection of plumbers merchants but I cannot convert as the tool is for windows :-( I have renamed the file to ov2 but when i try to search 'plumbers merchants' the poi cannot be found.
If anyone can help and maybe download the plumbers merchants file and convert, i would really appreciate it.
Many thanks in advance.

I believe that Mac users utilise a utility called TamTam. This can be found at http://www.equinux.com/us/products/moresw/tamtam.html
I don't use it myself, so cannot vouch for it.
Hope it helps. _________________ Richard

Me again,
Are you saying that you have already put the plumbers merchant ov.2 file on the tomtom but it cannot find it??? if so this is because you can onlyy store about 40 POIs on the tomtom go , regardless of the size of the SD card otherwise they do not show up.
Let me know

Hi,
Check your email, just sent you it .
I made the bitmap myself so its not perfect but works ok for me. If your in the know you could always make a better one.
If the ov.2 file is slightly bigger than expected thats cos ive added a few to it myself mainly in the leeds area.
Any probs get back to me.
I assume that your a plumber, do you have any plumbing software?
Also for anyone reading this Im looking for a telephone answering machine ( software for PC) that will divert calls to a mobile. Do they make such a program as BT is fleecing me for the call diverts and I could divert much cheaper through 18866 if this was possible.
Shaung5, get back to me if any probs.

Hi all,
I am not clever enough to know if this helps, and hopefully you are now all sorted out, but there are loads of POI catagories at www.poidownload.com (or is it .co.uk), and they are in .asc format, BUT, you can download a free tool that you just drag the file over and it converts it to .ov2
Maybe not of interest to you now, but could be useful in the future. The site has so many catagories it's worth checking out anyway.
