Has anyone else noticed the problem that SmartST V2 doesn't recalculate a set route when the route type is changed between Quickest Time and Shortest Distance? As for now I have to set the route once again after altering the routing option, which is quite annoying
Does V3 do a recalculation of the route if the routing options (one of the slider settings) are changed? _________________ TomTom GO720T: App ver 8.351(9982/090518), OS:315187, GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5120

Once you've changed the routing parameters, return to the Navigation screen and tap the top banner twice quickly. This will recalculate your existing route in V2, and V3 works in the same way. _________________ Tim |

I'm not sure if you are altering the route parameters mid-way through a journey to avoid an area such as a road closure or obstruction, but a nice feature of v3 is 'Route Detour'.
This effectively allows you to bypass a jam etc... by rerouting you to avoid the next 1,2,5 or 10 miles/km of your route (selectable).
May not be relevant but thought I would mention this new feature. _________________ Ian.

Ok, that sounds like a useful feature until I get a system with TMC support. Looking forward to test that in January.
Regarding Tim's advice for V2 I just verified that it worked. Not an obvious thing really. _________________ TomTom GO720T: App ver 8.351(9982/090518), OS:315187, GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5120
