I`ve just bought Mitac Mio 168 + Co pilot v5, i`ve loaded co pilot on to my Desk top PC but when i open it it says "Co Pilot has caused an error (unkown) and will close. Has anybody had the same thing happen or if not does anybody have any suggestions.

What are you trying to start on your PC - the Pocket PC installation program or the map selector? _________________ Lutz

I did encounter this fairly frequently until I installed the updates available on the ALK site:

Still having problems,now getting Access Violation Warnings on my desktop. Still haven`t got to use Copilot , waiting for ALK to come back to me after they`ve spoken to the US ALK Company. Becoming a bit of a nightmare! |

Are you running Win9x ? If so, then there are some known issues with Win98 and I presume Win9x in general, ALK will have a fix available soon to resolve this problem for Win9x clients. |
