Oldboy,
Probably a silly question to you, but you have ticked those POI’s (in Home) you would want to download in ‘Preferences’, ‘TT map share’, ‘Select POI categories’. Haven’t you? |

More significantly, it will only get updates automatically if you select that item in TT Home Preferences. _________________ Dennis

There is nothing in that Menu for Map Corrections, only on the Device itself. _________________ Richard

I only mentioned it in passing, because I found I did not receive any map corrections until I had ticked at least one of the POI boxes. Coincidence? possibly. Chance? probably. Strange but true. |

Could someone with local knowledge confirm that the A406 Gunnersbury Ave in Ealing is blocked as that is what my XL is saying due to mapshare updates "confirmed by TomTom". Neither the AA or BBC have any info.
It's between the junction with Leopold Rd (N51.5101 W0.2916) and Crosslands Ave (N51.5078 W0.2912).
I'd just like to know why it's showing as blocked and if TT are correct in confirming this. _________________ Gerry

I'm in the same situation of OldBoy.
With map Western and Central Europe v. 7.10 I haven't had any map correction.
I have also a map of Italy v. 6.75 and I receive updates almost every time I connect my Go910.
Is it possible that there aren't any corrections yet for map version 7.10?
Could anyone tell us if he has downloaded map updates for 7.10 maps?
Thank you. |

Ive had 7.10 since the day they came out, and have had 3 to 4 updates daily, almost an update every time i`ve plugged my tt1 into homeevery day to be honest. Until today that is, none this morning before work, and none since i finished work. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

That's very near me.
I can't imagine it is true, I'll check on my way home from work tomorrow.
How on earth can it be showing blocked on a Nuvi too? |

Andy_P2002 wrote: | How on earth can it be showing blocked on a Nuvi too? | Maybe it's blocked? Thing is my Nuvi did a route to somewhere there and routed round the section of Gunnersbury Ave in question. Ahah! I've just looked closer at Autoroute and discovered that Leopold Road is one way, East to West and with the Nuvi I asked for a route to the coordinates given above for Leopold Rd - to get there would need diverting onto the one way system, giving the impression that Gunnersbury Avenue is blocked. I am a Newbie at navigating with my New Nuvi.
Google says there was some blockage for resurfacing on October 31st weekend - maybe that was it? I do hope TT aren't going to introduce temporary roadworks into permanent maps - I'm sure that's how some of the silly speed limits have crept in, like the 60mph (and even less) Motorways.
Just in passing, I wonder how it was possible to block it in this manner - normally you (un)block a complete road, we've all said there's no way we can submit a cut off bit haven't we? _________________ Dennis
