Fab piece of kit except for the mounting bracket IMHO. Yes as some reviews say it still feels like it's going to break as you clip it on. Worse still, no matter how tight you do the securing screw up on the side of the bracket to hold the screen at just the angle you need, a "bump" in the road is enough to shake it loose and hence tip the screen down. I've tried 2 brackets now and both won’t tighten up sufficiently to stop this occurring. |

Tartangiant,
I too have this "problem". No UV coating and no heated screen, and my Origin B2 solo works perfectly. The TTG get all the sat bars then instantly goes grey, then 2 bars, then all bars. Happens about once every 5 minutes.
I have noticed that it is most common on sharp turns. My theory is that it has a fairly directional antenna, and looses its grip when existing sats go and new ones appear.
I have ordered a re-radiating antenna and reckon that this will fix it.
Will report back later! |

Hi Pottsy,
In a manner of speaking, I'm glad I'm not the only one with this little snag. Means there's a common fault as it were which should be fixable with that re-radiating antenna.
Where's the best place to purchase it Pottsy? Price/delivery wise.
Somebody mentioned buying one a while ago.......... can't remember who.
Can the experts please reassure Pottsy and I that this is the solution to our snag?
Cheers all,
TG |

Turn both knobs at the same time and it will tighten up nicely (or at least hold one while you do the other). If you only turn one, the other knob just turns with it and nothing happens |

I also try to make sure that the arm is resting on the dashboard. This, of course, makes it really stable. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Thanks chaps - already tried that. (turning/holding the other screw) Yes resting on the dash is the only other option, but not ideal and is a compromise as I’m sure the design was to enable the bracket to support the units weight securely. |

You could use two thin plastic or rubber washers where the surfaces meet, to give extra grip.
Or you could use double sided sticky tape, cut a couple of small squares, and attatch to the surface.
Or go into an office supplies, and get some ring-binder strengtheners, "small cardboard washers, with hole in middle".
Or use two thin spring washers, available from B&Q.
You could also use a dab of Pritt Stick, the none sticky sticky stuff.
Or a permanant solution, "use with care" super glue it.

Good sugestions. Even though mine is fairly sturdy, its still dropped a couple of times so I may try out one of your ideas |

So far a lot of the issues voiced, concern the TT GO's mounting(my own included)I wonder if anyone at TT monitors site forums, thus gaining valuable feedback.I hope so perhaps then we will have a less clunky mount for an otherwise great system. |
