I have noticed that my unit has a low high pitched tone coming from it. Is this normal?

Digging deep here, but IIRC there was one model that used to 'hum' at a certain screen brightness.
Right found it. See if This is a similar scenario. Back to 2006. _________________ Richard

Thanks for that. yes and no it's a low level high pitched tone. I have not upgraded only the mapshare side of the unit.

Have you tried changing the brightness to see if the whine changes pitch or "character"?
It's a pretty standard "issue" with many screen types. |
