Hi RobertV,
I don't have any Garmin SatNavs. However a few weeks ago, Bo Peep and I went to Jersey for the weekend and used a TomTom ONE NE with (Navteq)European maps.
Apart from the hotel that we stayed in, and a few of the pubs that we prefer to have an evening meal in, all of the attractions were included as POIs.
A word of caution, the TomTom POIs were to be randomly found in three of the POI categories (Attractions, Shops, and Shopping Mall) if my memory is correct. It's not such a problem with version 6 (or above) TomTom software as you can search for POIs across the whole collection of standard and custom POI categories. This may be the way that TomTom has done things.
The best thing to do is to display the map of the Channel Island that you wish to see and then search for a known attraction or location, to see if your Garmin knows about it.
One of the nicer pubs in Jersey is the Smugglers Arms, if you would like to co-ordinates then let me know and I'll post them in this thread.

Privateer,
I would much appreciate your posting the coordinates of the Smugglers Arms. I will take your suggestion and see if I can locate some of the places of interest on the 660. |

Hi RobertV,
I've only been away from Jersey for a few weeks and forget the name of my favourite Jersey pub. It's actually called:
Old Smugglers Inn
Latitude: 49.17632
Longitude: -2.18350
Please don't forget to mention that you were sent there by Bo Peep and Privateer of PocketGPSWorld.com. If enough people say that then we might get a free meal!
