I downloaded the TTN5.1 update from Tomtom website and just opened it from the PC, with my PDA connected via ActiveSync, of course.
The installation asked me if I wanted to overwrite existing installation and I said yes, and away it goes.
Of course, I backed up the original TTN5.0 on the PC before I run the update.
That's about it. _________________ TomTom Navigator 5.10 on Dell Axim 50v

It makes absolutely NO difference as the TomTom installs are always full installs, no matter what anyone claims. _________________ Lutz

Just had one small problem with the install regarding not enough room in the temp folder, a quick visit to TT web site sorted it out.

Morris: Did you not have to get more memory than your present 128MB Card? I had to get more for my H3970. 8O |

No, it went on fine, I just used the GB maps plus postcodes. I managed to get the pocket gps database on as well.
I shall get a larger card so I can run with the plus maps.
I see that the GB maps cover the main roads of Northern Ireland. Would I be correct in saying the plus maps will cover the main roads of the south o ireland?

Well, looks like I have "most" of my issues sorted so thanks to everyone here who helped.
Border Collie: Safety Cameras? How do I go about getting that, sounds good and is it updated?
Morris: Thanks for that, I don't know why my 128MB did not like it but anyhow, got the 1GB now and seems ok. |
