Please bear with me as am a newbie, have done a search regarding my problem but cannot find an answer.
Am trying to change the Tomtom5 voice to a celebrity voice which I have downloaded from the net. Have noticed that the TomTom voices have Wave sound and VIF File for every voice.
The celeb folder has vif, bmp and chk files.
Have tried to move the celeb folder to different parts of tomtom 5 hoping it would install the neccesary files but has not worked.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please.
Any help will be much appreciated. |

Create a folder in your "My Documents" folder called "Voices". Copy each of the voice files into it and restart TomTom.
They should now appear. _________________ TTN5.10/Mio168/Verbatim 512MB SD/Activesync 4.1.0 (Build 4841) |

Oh and you don't have any sub-folders - copy the files themselves into the "Voices" folder _________________ TTN5.10/Mio168/Verbatim 512MB SD/Activesync 4.1.0 (Build 4841) |

The above method will work BUT it consumes valuable memory, to avoid this create a TOMTOM folder in the root of the SD card (nothing in it - leave it empty), then create a Voices folder in the root of the SD card and put the voice files into it, to further save memory transfer the normal voices from the MyDocuments folder to the SD card Voices folder - Mike |
