Hi Guys,
This is my 1st post so take it easy on me! :D I'm looking at purchasing Tom Tom Mobile but first need to upgrade my mobile.
Which would you guys recommend and why?
The Nokia 6630 or the SPV C500 ?
I state these two only as these are my free upgrade options from orange.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out.
Cheers,
Mark |

are you more a phone guy or rather a PC geek? The Nokia is more a phone, and the C500 is more a PC... _________________ Lutz

Hey,
I have a Nokia 6630 & like with all Nokia's the user interface is great.
Also as it's Symbian based operating system there is so much more you can do with it, with many varied & great applications about.
To my knowledge the only pro the Smart Phone has over the Nokia is the fact it can have two bluetooth connections running at one time.
But then again once you get into the Symbian forums, so can you with the Nokia.

I have to say i have tried both the Nokiia and C500, for me the C500 wins hows down. I have had no problems with programs hanging, there is certainly plenty of software out there, as the previous guy commented you can have 2 bluetooth connections at the same time, which enables me to have both Tom Tom running and my bluetooth headset at the same time, that alone clitches for me. |

My C500 does hang maybe twice a month, usually because I have left it in my pocket with the keypad lock switched off. Don't forget that it is running Windows, so it does need to be rebooted from time to time.
Overall, it's a very good phone though. Battery life is at least 4 days, it's reasonably small and has a nice large bright screen. Calendar, address book, speaker phone all work reasonably well.
The quality of the third party software can be variable, some of it may crash your phone. Don't buy CoPilot Smartphone - it's seriously buggy. _________________ Gone fishing! |
