Hi all,
Hope you can help. I would like to use my Tom Tom at other, and more, times than just going on set journeys.
Is there any way I can use Tom Tom just to show/follow/track me around? i.e. not having to state a destination and then going somewhere else (so as not to incur the wrath of the lady telling me to turnaround and it trying to re-calculate the route to my original destination).
Thanks

Sure, just leave it in Navigator view without a route planned. It will just act as a moving map. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The "Turn Guidance OFF" setting in the Navigator menu is very useful - so useful that I have it on a hardware button. That way, I can stay in Navigator mode, but turn guidance on and off at will.
I tend to have a route planned even if I know where I'm going, otherwise TomTom Traffic isn't any use. However, I turn guidance off, for example, when pulling into the motorway services.

Thanks Darren & Dave
After I posted, I had another go and stumbled across it. Think this is the trouble with not producing a comprenhensive instruction manual, you rely on "trial and error" or forums like this where you have to ask basic questions.
I'm sure I'm not using 1/4 (if I'm lucky...) of its capabilities and its not until you want to try something new that you have to start searching around.
Now Tom Tom Traffic......? |
