TomTom's map servers are not the fastest at the best of times.
When a new map is announced, you can imagine the 100's, maybe 1000's of users trying to download maps at the same time. This slows the download speed even more. _________________ David |

Pity that the Maps for sale on SD card are still on v880. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

It took me only 37 mins to do the download on a standard BT Broadband line, so quite happy with that. All installed without a hitch.
Thanks to David aka dhn for pointing it out in the first place. |
Lucky you! Just taken 6hrs 30mins to download and install Europe v900.4602 map and USA V900.4602 + a few bits a pieces such as speed cams and postcodes on my GO950Live. Thats on Virgin 10Mps. _________________ Gee-Pee

There is a problem with the update for Via 120's. Phone TomTom support and they will make the Europe map available to you which overcomes this. They were very helpful and phoned back! |
