As far as i know, the Fuel stations are just one catergory, though there's quite a few fuel stations in the sub catergory list, but the warning about OV2 files is to do with more than 20 catergories, not 20 sub catergories | The warning is, in fact, to do with the number of subcategories in a combined category.
The warning, now that you've mentioned it, is a bit ambiguous but as nobody has pointed it our before, it has always been assumed that 20 subcategories was what was intended.
You will find that if you try to combine Fuel and Food & Drink, you will end up with 2 POI files, not 1. There would be no point in having those 2 in the same POI file. _________________ Richard

Oh yeah, i see what you mean now. No, i actually never thought of combining Fuel with Food, or Fuel , Food, and ATM's.
I've just got the all fuel as combined, and now i've downloaded all the ATM's ( seperately from Fuel ) but combined all the ATM's. As a driver who's out all day, finding fuel or money spitters is very handy |

I'd like to say thanks for everybody's help. These things are tricky if you've never owned one before.
It'd be like giving my dad a touch phone. He'd pull what's left of his hair out |

Richard, i'm just trying to download all the fuel stations. The warning about 20 maximum refers to catergories, so it says, not sub catergories. |
To clarify....The information in red above is referring to combining what I called sub-categories.
As far as I know you cannot use the download page to combine Petrol stations with Dentists (i.e. what *I* called two "categories") - and why would you ever want to!
Actually, everything is just a category once it's on the TomTom, so both terms are technically correct, but maybe we can get the wording of that red text changed slightly. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I just tried selecting 19 sub-categories in the "Fuel" section (i.e. just about all the ones that were petrol brands and ignoring the fuel cards and the diesel stuff)
I selected the "combine into one file" option and it worked perfectly.
I'm using Firefox as my browser. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Its all worked fine Andy - including all the ATM's, downloaded seperately from the Fuel, but combined as suggested
I also use Firefox and everything has gone fine. Good advice here |
