I have downloaded City Navigator Europe NT 2012.40, but when I come to install it to my Nuvi 255W, the installation stalls at 90%???
I've tried restarting my PC, restarting my Nuvi and nothing seems to work.
I've downloaded and installed previous map updates no problem.
Any ideas anybody please?? |

Sorry, when you say you've downloaded it but then it stalls at 90% I'm confused? Are you saying you've downloaded it to your PC and are now trying to install in onto your nuvi? Are you using Mapinstall to do that? Or Mapsource/Basecamp?
Or have you tried to use Garmin's Lifetime Updater? There are real problems with this. I suggest you log onto myGarmin, go to the download/update maps page and then select Option2 ... that's the 'old' download method and works far better |

Yeah sussamb I've downloaded to my pc and am trying to install with Garmin Lifetime Updater ( which has worked fine before) But I'll give your suggestion a try.
Thanks for that, will report progress as and when! |

sussamb, just to let you know, I followed your suggestion and downloaded using the old method and everything worked fine first time.
Again many thanks. |

Glad to help, hopefully Garmin will sort out lifetime updater at some time but in the meantime I'd stay well clear |
