Hi all,
I know this has been mentioned many times, but I've had a search and cant seem to find the answer!
I have an Axim X5, which at the moment has a 128mb cf card but I need more memory, the main use for the pda is tomtom navigator, at the moment the maps are on the cf card, if I was to buy a sd card (256) and reinstall the maps etc onto that card, would it be notiably slower? I recall reading that the cd are slower than cf. This would of course free up the cf socket for other things, such as maybe a blootooth card or a cf gps unit if my gps mouse thing ever broke. The current 128 cf card wont be wasted either way as my camera can have it.

CF cards are faster, cheaper, and more reliable. If you can live with it, use CF. If you need the CF slot for something else, you'll have to bite the bullet anyhow. SD probably will appear on more of the future devices than CF. _________________ Lutz
I got a sd card after all that, got it at an excellent price, I'll leave the 128 cf card in there with tomtom maps on and use sd card for other stuff, I assume theres no problem swapping the cf card in and out? (obviosly wont try and run tomtom!)
