I have just joined the ranks of GPS/PDA owner. I am running an ipaq 5550 coupled with an Emtac Trine bluetooth reciever. Tomtom software version 3,03 is being used along with the latest version of Checkpoint. My problem is that I get no warnings of approaching speed camera despite having what I believe to be the correct settings, I have pocket Gps database on the PDA, the icons are showing the cameras but no sound or visual warnings, the sound files are in the checkpoint folder. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong, sound is fine with TomTom.

The .wav files are not supplied in the downlaod and it is up to you to source your own. I have a CheckPOInt sound package available here or alternatively there is another collection on the CheckPOInt website here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I seems that I was making the most basic of mistakes, not running checkpoint. I had the option set to start TomTom with checkpoint and just got mixed up, when you start Tom Tom this does not start checkpoint. Problem solved. |
