Does anyone have any idea if the EUropean Segment maps are going to be released for TT3? They seem to have disappeared from the TT website. I'm going to spain in august to drive around Alicante, and was rather hoping to be able to buy the Alicante Section map for 19.99 rather than the whole of Europe.
Regards

I asked TomTom Support this question a couple of weeks ago. This was their reply:
Quote: | We are sorry but at present we have no plans to relaese individual country maps for TTN 3.
With best regards,

Seems like you have no choice but to cough up €189 for the (as yet unavailable) full Europe map set.

They may not be available from TomTom, but several of the big resellers have had the Navigator 3 Maps of Western Europe available for some time.

Hi,
I just got the Maps of Western Europe fromMobileDataDirect by very fast next day delivery. The Alicante area is well covered, with some of the newer little streets in small places such as Cabo Roig nicely covered. Well worth the money and I'm looking to going back with TT3. I did use Navman SmartST Pro before when I was driving round the Costa Blance about 3 weeks ago, and it isn't as well covered as these new TT3 maps. Hope this helps. |

Hi David,
Quite right you are too......seems TomTom's maps are not the only things that are not up to date.
If anyone's interested, the cheapest that I found the Western Europe maps is at Ebuyer (as usual - they almost always have the cheapest prices for everything, the website is great and things arrive on time - no connection, just a satisfied customer)

I've edited the URL above to remove the action element - as I can't remember whether it's akin to a session ID, and it's not needed.
As you say, eBuyer are often the cheapest supplier on products they stock. I've used them for various things (they're about to get an order for some HP printer cartridges and network patch leads from me) - though they're not the hottest on returns and customer service, as can probably be expected from a "no frills" supplier.
