Hi all
I am planning a walk in the lakes which involves climbing 3 peaks.
I need to set waypoints and I am fine with that…………what I would also like the active 10 to show is distance to next waypoint and also distance to next peak. I know the active 10 shows distance to next waypoint but can it show the next peak which may be a number of way points away. I though about having the peaks as POI but the display is for nearest POI rather then next which maybe a problem having pass a peak it would look back for sometime
Any ideas or recommendations…
Many thanks for your time
Regards

Edit the POI on the device and simply delete each one in turn as you pass the summit, I can't think of any other way to do this. Don't forget the distance will be a straight line rather than your true path so it will display a much shorter distance than the actual one involved while walking - Mike |

Or you could plot a separate route to each peak e.g from one to the next. Then you could see how far you were into the route. Change the route after each peak. _________________ LostMike

Could use the set goto each time you pass a peak set a new goto point at the next peak. |

I'd say the easiest way to get an idea (again, only a straight line distance) would be to use the 'range finder' function. Since I discovered this little gem of an idea in the manual I use it all the time.
Just nudge the joystick, then in planning move the locator circle to the next peak. The data box shows the distance from your current location. |
