Help!
I have installed Traffic on my iPAQ 3870 and have successfully conected to the internet using O2 Moble Web and a Nokia 3650 with a GPRS connection (the phone is set as the default bluetooth modem).
When getting in the car I connect to GPRS via O2 mobile web and then launch TomTom.
I have set the Traffic auto update to update every 5 mins.
After I have planned my route, TomTom successfully connects to the Traffic server and downloads the latest traffic info. Then 5 mins later, connects again OK.
However, after this, when it tries to connect again it thinks about it for a while then says that it could not connect to the Traffic server and asks me to check my internet connection.
As I was now sitting in a Jam (thanks TomTom) I checked the phone and it was still showing an active GPRS connection. I used iTASK on the iPAQ to switch to email and confirmed that the internet was still active by downloading my mail. Switching back to TomTom and forcing a traffic update still gave the no server error.
Disconnected GPRS and reconnected in O2 mobile web but the problem was still there.
The only way to get a connection to traffic back was to soft reset the iPAQ and connect to GPRS again and then fire up TomTom. Again, I got a couple of updates down before once again it told me that it could not contact the server.
When I got to the office I swapped phone to a 6310i but the problem was exactly the same so I think that rules out the phone.
Any ideas? |

I'm sure this is a tomtom bug as I have seen it on my 2210 with a sony t68i, t630 and a moto v600.
The most updates I have had is 3 or 4 before it it fails to connect. These phones are on either orange payg or orange contract. I am also able to download mail etc so it is definately a problem with the program.
The only way I have solved this whilst out is to manually kill the gprs connection and then ask for updates again when tt will normally instigate a new connection and download a few more updates.
Bloody info is a waste of time anyway at he moment. _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------
