Hello
Has anyone had any joy in paring the 720 with a N96 for the wirless data connection for tomtom traffic? The phone pairs up fine but gets to 65% on the wireless data set up then asks you to select another phone or enter the settings manually.
Worked really well with my old N95.
Thanks in advance.

It was a long shot but it worked: I "told" the 720 the N96 was an E90 and it worked! I figured that the N96 has S60 3rd edition pack 2 and the E90 has pack 1 so it might just work - and it did.
Hope this helps others. By the way, I'm on O2.

Do all the services work with the N96 now including handsfree, read aloud text messages and copy phone book? |

To be honest I only use the phone connection for tomtom traffic so I have not tried the other features. Having said that when the phone does connect the 720 says hands free and copy phone book entries are available.
Changing the subject, today it did not connect and I had to re-pair. So no guarantees of stress fee connections!
Cheers

Not good news...
I could get them to bluetooth pair todayfor the wireless connection for tomtom services. I think it is a bluetooth issue because I noticed the bluetooth icon on the N96 alternating between active and not.
Any bluetooth experts out there?
Thanks

I'm having the same sort of problem with my 520 and Nokia N82. Unfortunately, the phone is not on the compatibility list an Support say that it may be added at some time.
I've tried pairing it as a 'Other' device and sometimes it work and at other times does not, with the 520 announcing 'Connected to Nokia N82' several times whilst driving. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. I had this same problem a while back too and when you get to the dreaded 65% just press the manual button and do it that way. I wrote a step by step post on it some time ago so you might find it through the search in the TT Traffic thread. |

The latest: I have tried the n73 profile on the 720 and it seemed to be OK all day yesterday. I'll keep you all updated.

Not going well.. I had the delete the pairing and re-pair to get the two to talk today. I hope Tomtom include the N96 in the next software update for the 720. |
