|
|
Hi,
I wonder if one of the staff can help please..
A few days ago, three new Monitron cameras appeared on a stretch of road close to me home (70mph limit).
The cameras appeared to be live (not bagged, lines painted on the road, etc), so I submitted them as normal as static cameras@70mph and I notice these cameras have now been added to the database, and will presumably go out in the next update.
However, I have just noticed an article in our local paper stating these cameras have been installed ready to monitor a temporary 4-week 40mph limit during road works. Also, since submitting them, a further camera has been installed. The cameras have now been bagged up (after leaving them unbagged for several days!).
Obviously, I'm concerned that the wrong info will go out in the next update.
These cameras presumably still need to be in the database although they will not be not live for another week or so, so is it best to ask for all the cameras to be deleted and start again, or do I edit them and make a note including the revised date of operation, speed, etc?
Many thanks,
Russ |

Please re-submit them with the 'correct' info (ie 40 etc) and add a comment that they are to monitor roadworks.
IF you know when the roadworks are due to commence, that info would also be helpful.
You can also submit the new camera, to complete the set.
Are they definitely not being used at 70 before the roadworks? _________________ Andy

Not if they're bagged!
Russ.... if the ones you submitted before are already appearing on the map on the submission page, I think (even if they are not confirmed yet) you can use the "change existing camera" option rather than re-submitting them from scratch...
Any notes you can add in the comments box all help. |

The key piece of information here is probably when the speed limit will drop to 40 and how this will tie in with a database release and we'll have to leave it in MaFt's capable hands to tie the two together. _________________ Andy
