Im trying to update the maps on my tomtom, ive come to so many junctions where theyve been turned into roundabouts or roads where the tomtom thinks im in a field!! i found out that the latest maps for the tomtom in the UK are 6.75?
ive downloaded what i thought to be the latest maps (tomtom_map_6.75_UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE 1409).
When i try to copy and paste them to replace the old maps it says on my tomtom 'no maps found'. could this be a problem in the compatibility of the maps i downloaded or could i be doing something wrong? im copying it into the folder GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE? The files im replacing are:
cline.
cname
cnode
faces
mapinfo
poi
tmccodes
traffic
all these are dat files
UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE.mid
UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE (pna file)
does anyone know how to properly update the maps on a navigator 6 or where to get hold of them?
I have the following software specs:
App version 6.010 (7640)
GPs driver v1.20
Map: GB plus major roads of WE v650.1046
Thanks! |

You download the maps for the TomTom web site www.tomtom.com and install them to your device using TomTom Home which runs on the PC and acts as an interface to the nav software - Mike |

Quite simply, you need to by the maps for each device you want to use them on. _________________ Tim |
