|

Hi all,
I'm having problems activating a map of Italy on my tomtom one.
I downloaded the map from tomtom, purchased a new 1GB SD card and loaded the new map via the tomtom HOME software. All went fine.
Every time I power up the device I have to go through the language selection, time format etc and then come to the map selection screen. UK and Italy maps are available. If I select the Italy map it tells me the product hasn't be activated and to activate it, I try and enter the code from the ttcode.com but it says the code it incorrect. The code supplied does have spaces in it but i can't enter a space as there is no space key on the keyboard on screen. Could the lack of spaces in the code be the problem?
I've also tried activating the map via My ONE on the HOME software with the tomtom attached (via the keyboard on my laptop with the spaces in the code), this appears to have worked but when I disconnect the device and power it on again it goes through the whole setup bit (language, time format, voice etc) and back to activating the map and the code again fails. When I reconnect to My ONE via the HOME software the map comes up straight away without asking to be activated. I've tried removing the map from the tomtom and downloading it again but it still doesn't work.
Anyone any ideas?? Have to constantly set the language, time and voice makes me think there might be an issue with the built in memory on the tomtom.
Thanks for the help!

You could maybe try the clearflash tool mentioned in THIS THREAD. Also you don't need to enter spaces if your code is correct. |

Also, make sure you aren't confusing zeros and the letter O |

That's great, AND confirms it works with the TT One as well as the x10 series (I didn't mention that... ) |

You mean you didn't know if it worked with the ONE, and you just wanted a guiniepig to test it out. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |
