Sorry if this is not strictly a TomTom issue so feel free to move it if you see fit.
TT2 and I paq 2210:
I made an earlier post about dropping my PDA and not being able to get TT2 started again.
I am pleaseed to confirm that I managed to get it working again but only for a short while.
I now have a new problem:
I cannot get the bluetooth to initialise and get and error message that reads:
BTTrayCE
Bluetooth could not be correctly initialised.
If I start BT manager I get the following:
The bluetooth radio failed to turn on due to insiufficient driver memory available.
You must perform a normal reset before you can turn on the bluetooth radio.
I've tried soft booting but it keeps happening.
How do I sort this one out please?
Is it a hard boot? |

You could try installing HP's BT Update for the 2210 available from here. Failing that I'm sorry to say that it does look like Hard Reset time _________________ Darren Griffin |

This happened when I dropped my Ipaq and it broke too - my best guess is that the bluetooth stack was corrupted because of the abrupt exitign of the program - if I recall you may have to deinstall the HP bluetooth update and reapply it - other than that I'd suggest an hard reset.

before you hard reset, try uninstalling tomtom ~gps. and see if bluetooth turns on. happened to me after loading from backup. had 2.08, bluetooth doesn't turn on with same error, removed tomtom ~gps which will soft reset pocketpc. afterwhich the bluetooth managed to turn on, and i noticed that gps driver is still 2.08. removing tomtom ~gps again at this stage will actually remove it. _________________ tomtom 940 live/tt active dock holder/tt rds-tmc traffic receiver usb |

Good tip. Also if you do uninstall v2.08, grab v2.07 from here and install that instead, it has none of the COM port hogging issues that v2.08 and v2.09 had! _________________ Darren Griffin |

a4Ace;
Excellent tip m8.
I did what you said and hey presto BT is working again.
Many thanks.
Next question: if I install 2.07 instead of 2.08 but also want to reinstall TT2 from the disc how do I stop the loader from reinstalling 2.08?
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks again |

my installation came with 2.04 gps driver (i think it's 2.04). but i guess best thing is if it doesn't provide an option to not install gps 2.08, just uninstall it and install 2.07.
if you do not have problems with 2.08, eg you don't have any other gps application besides tomtom, you don't have to revert to 2.07. i am personally using 2.08 and am happy with it. just in case though, i downloaded the installations for 2.07, 2.08 and 2.09. _________________ tomtom 940 live/tt active dock holder/tt rds-tmc traffic receiver usb |
