|
|
Just bought a TomTom One Europe (New Edition). Quite happy with it so far, except for the fact that the mount just won't stay on the windscreen for more than a few minutes.
Any tips or suggestions for a sturdier and more secure replacement mount?
Thanks guys! |

what car do you have??
We just got "Ones" at work and a couple of the lads are having the same problem. One of them drives a Mk4 Golf (53 plate) and I think the screen must be quite curved at the corner??
My Mk2 focus (55 plate) has no problem at all - in fact the opposite, I can't get the thing off !!! _________________ tomtom one v2 - 7.162

If you want a vent mount (or windscreen for that matter) have a look at Brodit, they do a holder for the new TomTom One see Here Please note you will also need a Pro Clip to use the holder in your vehicle as these are specific to make and model of car - Mike |

Thanks for the prompt replies, guys. It's on a Ford Puma.
A bit of licking really helped and it didn't budge. So I'll stick with that for the moment! |

The best tip would be to stick the mount on the windshield first!
Then add the ONE.
Do not add the ONE to the mount first and mount it. IT WILL FALL DOWN! |

Hi HRC99 and Geoff_UK,
I agree with mikealder that Brodit is a good solution.
First chose the ProClip for your vehicle:
653007 ProClip - fits Ford Puma 02-07 For UK
652526 ProClip - fits Volkswagen Golf IV 98-03 For all countries
653584 ProClip - fits Ford Focus 05-07 For UK
Secondly add a Move Clip (useful for swapping mounts or removing for security reasons).
213005 Move Clip Mini.
Thirdly add your TomTom ONE holder/charger.
215201 Active Holder, Tilt Swivel With cig-plug.
