|
|
Hi, I am using an ipaq 2210 and Tomtom 2. I want to get a bigger storage card and was wondering whether I can just transfer the data on one card across to another card? I didn't really want to reinstall if at all possible.
Thanks a lot

If you have a card reader attached to your PC then it's a simple process of copying the map folder off the card, onto your PC and back onto the new storage card.
If you don't have as card reader then it is the same process albeit a lot slower, dock the PPC, browse to the storage card, copy the map folder to your PC, undock, replace storage card, dock once more and copy the map folder (and its contents!) onto the new card. No re-installation necessary _________________ Darren Griffin |

OK, got my new 256mb cf card. I copied the map folder from my sd card to my PC and then transfered to my new card. The PPC shows it has transfered but when I launch Navigator on PPC it tells me that it "cannot find navigator(or one of its components). Make sure the path or filename are correct and all the required libraries are available".
Do I need to be doing something else?
Thanks a lot

Was TomTom installed to main memory? On your original storage card was there anything else on it apart from the map folder?
The error suggests that Navigator may have been installed to the storage card, if you insert the original card does the error still ocurr? _________________ Darren Griffin |

No it wors fine on the old card. I think in hindsight I installed it all onto sd card.
What are my options now? Am I best just reinstalling the whole lot?

If it was installed to SD card then just copy the entire contents of the original SD card to the new card and you should be fine _________________ Darren Griffin |
