The other question I have is;
how much of the device memory is used to run it? I know the maps are on the SD card but as the m5000 has a small program & storage memory, I'm a little concerned that it won't fit on my device with the current applications I am running.

try installing the apps to the sd only the app runs on the device you can run apps from the sd card currently i have opera tcpmp tomtom Igo and loads of other rubbish including englidh dutch talking dictionaries i the exec and its fine i wouldnt worry about it the trick is to only put the apps on the device that you use most _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. manage to sort through an delete/move stuff that I was unaware I had.
Have spoken with TomTom & they don't advocate using the Nav 6 software. I asked why they listed the Exec but not the M5000. They explanation was that the ROM is different and not all the TomTom functions would work therefore they would not list it.
I've opted to go for the Nav 5.2xx software as I know this will work |

I ran TomTom Navigator 6 on my XDA exec for 6 months without any issues and no mods to the Orange ROM at all. Can't think of anything that didn't work at all.
Only issue I did have is that some of the icons aren't scaled to the higher res screen, mainly the arrival time screen (nightmare to set) and the weather warning icons in Traffic.
Otherwise, no issues at all. _________________ Tom Tom GO 720
