Hi...
I was thinking of purchasing an i3 for a forthcoming trip, but have heard that this particular model may have a problem with French vehicles due to a coating used on the windscreens? Does anyone know if this is correct, and, if so, would it apply to my Peugeot 406 HDI? The last thing I want is an external antenna - kinda defeats the purpose of the thing if you ask me.
Many Thanks |

Don't know about the windscreen but i use an antenna on my Renault. Just hide it behind some trim and the headlining and it's on top of my rear view mirror with double sided sticky tape. Works fine because there is usually an untreated portion on the windscreen so you can attatch those "auto toll" discs. |

Having used both a Mio 168 and P350 in my Citroen I find it best to get a lock outside the car first, when I have 6 or 7 sats I set up in the car placing the unit on the centre of the dash so it's below the uncoated section (black dotted area) of the screen (behind the rear view mirror). I then have no problems with the weakened signals because of the screen. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
