as yet there is no poi for weight limits as these get added on an almost weekoly basis the sat nav would not avoid the limit it would only warn you of it there is a low bridge poi available free the link is in numerous threads in the hgv lounge _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Try HGV / Motorhome Lounge? _________________ Jock

How would these be useful?
Are roadsigns warning you of a weight limit not adequate enough, surely a POI will only do the same job except perhaps with less warning!
Until a system is released that actually routes you around these limits (low bridges etc) I think the only thing we can do is drive in the old fashioned way and read the signs. _________________ Tomtom Go730T

Well at least you are with someone who will understand you!!
Ok let me explain, try and stay with me on this....
A)If you are driving down a road and a POI alert warns you there is a 17t weight limit 250yds ahead, what are you going to do?
B)If you are driving down a road and a road sign warns you there is a 17t weight limit 250yds ahead, what are you going to do?
A POI doesn't reroute or divert you around it, just makes you aware of its presence just like a roadsign.
So my question stands, how would weight limit POI's make driving an hgv any easier? if the question is too difficult you could call your stupid friend

Actually don't bother trying to answer the question, I can see which way this thread will go with your attitude _________________ Tomtom Go730T

Why are you being so rude and obnoxious?
I asked a simple question, thats all, but I guess it was a bit hard for you, someone else had to answer it for you.
I'm suprised you drive an HGV, I would have thought a pushbike would be too much for you.
See what you have done now? you have dragged me down to your level!! _________________ Tomtom Go730T
