Since it is a CF card you should be able to see it's com port exposed in the TomTom GPS applet (the lower dropdown). I would guess it sits at COM4:
Set the speed to MNEA 38400 first and see if that works. If not, set it to NMEA 4800.
If you feel adventurous you can also switch to SiRF protocol but that doesn't really give you much of an advantage. _________________ Lutz

hi
I have got it working by selecting Sirf 4800.
It works but I am getting very slow positioning. It seems to take TomTom 10 seconds to catch up with my position. I am using a Dell Axim X5 400 mhz with the maps on SD.
I am not sure if the lag is caused by the setting (4800 low baud rate) or the gps (Rikaline 6021-x6) ot the Axim.
Any sugestions appreciated.

Its working fine now. The settings are :-
GPS = TomTom GPS
Port = Rikaline |
