|
|
I have just successfully downloaded the camera database onto my Garmin Streetpilot c510. The cameras show up on the map as a red circle showing speed restrictions but I do not seem to have an option to switch on proximity alarms on my Garmin. Apparently the manual says this option only becomes available to switch on, once you have downloaded the Custom POIs which I have done, but in 'Sytems' my Garmin does not seem to recognise that these have been downloaded, so no Proximity Alarmis avalable to me.
Have I missed a trick here somewhere? |

Just a thought, but did you unzip the folder first and downloaded from the new folder to your Garmin? _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

If you are using Windows XP on the PC simply double click the downloaded folder and it will open. - Mike |

Thanks. Yes, I have been doing that. So I will have to ponder this some more! |

With XP double click Zip folder, e.g. Oct10pgpsw-speed-cams.zip, to open it and then choose 'Extract all files', towards the top left, which will produce an unzipped folder named Oct10pgpsw-speed-cams. Use this one to install cameras to your device. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
