BuyGPSNow have asked us to review the new version of iGuidance. Since we have done an extensive review of the previous version 2.1.3 the current article will focus on the main differences from that version.
iGuidance is a solid and easy to learn entry level program with the advantage of good map management and the ability to be used both on your mobile device and your laptop computer.

lutz bendlin, as a reviewer, you failed to mention and notice some of the obvious improvements in ig3 which are more important to the users. you failed, again, to realize that poi warning isn't really applicable in the U.S. it appears that you did not even test drive with the ig3, nonetheless, take the time to fully acquaint yourself with the application. if you think you can continue to make these mediocre reviews, you won't be just losing trust in your judgement, you'll be losing members. pls don't waste our time. |

Facts please. What would that be? Itinerary mode?
I admit that I have driven with iGuidance only two weeks instead of the standard four weeks. But it is a simple product, and can be completely explored in less than a day. (which is not necessarily a bad thing) _________________ Lutz

My biggest gripe with iG3:
choppy, and I mean seriously choppy, voice guidance. Where other programs provide at least some form of semi natural sounding voice output, iG3 manages to produce something that sounds like Darth Chef. Kinda like the audible equivalent of the ransom note cut and pasted together from newsprint clippings. Pronunciation is way off, too. "T-urr-in rishe-t!" WTF? |

This is something you can easily fix yourself, all the WAV files are available in unencrypted/unencoded form. Feel free to create your own voices. _________________ Lutz

There isn't an official version for Smartphone (yet). Only some hints that one may be in the works. _________________ Lutz
