Hi,
Have a problem with my GPS receiver BT77. Can't get anymore signal, PDA (HP2210) connect via Bluetooth (can see blue light flashing as connected between devices) but no Satellites found.
Previously i was using TT3 and all was ok back to 1 and half yr ago, and then decided to update to TT5. Worked fine at start but my HP battery died and since then i had trouble with disconnection between GPS and PDA. I then tried several settings in vain. I now can't even get any satellites.
Tried to use NCTLite to reset to factory but I don't think i am able to connect software to GPS.
Can someone help on how to connect NCTLite to bluetooth GPS and get it to reset factory ?
thanks

Originally was set at 9600 as spec document on my install cd. but connect dropped so i changed it to 38400. Did work couple of times but connection still dropped. Now i can not get any satellite. Tried again tonight in my garden and after 20 minutes stil no signal.
Have tried with friend bluetooth device and worked fine.
That's why i thought about reseting my GPSbut i don't really now how to do that. any idea ? |

Tried again this morning, this time the GPS red light strated flashing straight after starting the receiver, connection to PDA via bluetooth was on but no signal found (though light was flashing). Turned the GPS off / on and reseted my PDA, red light flashed but no signal. I have no idea why this is happening, tried to change baud rate but no luck, no spinning on TT5 gps.
I believe i need to reset to factyory the settings of my GPS but i don't know how to do that. I have installed NCTlite v1, i have the parameter of my GPS receiver but don't know how to connect it to PC.
Help will be much appreciated !!
Is there any userguide on how to connect BT77 to work with NCTLite ?
Thanks |

Problem solved.
found a way to reset my GPS by doing the following:
- remove battery
- open gps receiver (2 screws)
- with great care remove lithium battery inside GPS device
u might found that it is covered by a tape (blue in mine)
- leave it out all night (in my case) but sure 5 minutes will be enough
- reinsert battery
- reassemble everything
- go out to open space and start GPS
- signal should come after few minutes, depending on the area and gps, could be up to 15 - 20 minutes.
I have tested it on way to work and connection did not even dropped after 20 minutes drive like it used to do. further test to confirm this.
my specs: HP2210 - GPS BT77 - TT5.21
have a good day
