|
|
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know when TT will release the SDK for the new release of V6? I need a way of recording Speedcam positions and from what I understand POI caprure will work up to v5.24? Are there plans to update it? and I presume its waiting for the SDK release.....
Is there anything I can do to help? I think its going to be up to the users of these Tomtoms to drive the future development of the product. I hopefully will be able to help in some small way, I am currently trying to figure out how to improme that D**ed car mount 8) Its going to be difficult as they have going for a bespoke connector, presumably to prevent people like Bronit from making an alternative.... I don't know if you have noticed but the mount appears to be made (or maybe designed) by RAM of the US. They will regret leaving the sticker inside the suction mount if the mounts proves to be flawed.
take care, regards

POICapture 1.06G does already work with the v6 GO products. However TomTom have again broken the SDK functions, and we are waiting for the updated executable to be released to the public. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for the very quick reply,
Can I presume 1.06G is not yet available for public use yet? Do you need any beta testers? that have TT910's?
If the answers yes its not available, and no we don't want any beta testers, I'll wait patiently for public release.
If there is anything I can do to improve the project please let me know
kind regards

the one for 5.440 also works for v6. But you will not be able to record POIs. That part is broken in the SDK. |
Duh?? I don't understand. What else does it do OTHER than record POIs? |

first of all this feature does work on v5.440 devices. Secondly, the GPS position is also recorded in a log file (that gets overwritten on each device start) so if you are in real dire need (not calling any names, mikea ...) you could extract the collected cameras from the logfile.
The only thing that doesn't work, is adding a POI through the TomTom API. I was thinking about doing a manual write instead, but I do really hope they come out with the fix soon. _________________ Lutz

Has the new v6 SDK been release to the public yet.
If someone had an interest in developing application for a Tom Tom (One in my case) how would one set about this?

It's available since a long time on Handango. Set the device filter to Linux. _________________ Lutz
