I have been using this program for a while now and it is definitely one of the easier ones to use _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

Does it allow Rotate Scren by 90 degrees? The last menu builder I tried about 9 months ago would not do this

You can build your menus in either 3x2 or 2x3 so I suppose you could get round it that way.
Other than that, I believe that this is a option in the preferences section. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

I see. That option definitely works on this 1. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

Fine, I'll try it then. On the other software it would rotate by 180 degrees, but not 90

I see what you mean now about the 180 degrees
It seems to be the same in this one too.
The only way around it would be to go into change preferences and then on page 6 is the rotate screen function.
I suppose that sort of defeats the object though doesnt it?? _________________ -------------------------------------------------------

I just used the default menus to set up TT as I liked, then installed the customised menu. The fact that I can't rotate without removing the custom menu has never bene a problem as I have never had to do it.
If I did I would just ad a character to the end of the custom menu file in explorer and then remove the chaacter to restore the custom menus. It is not rocket science. |

Yes, that was the point where I gave up last time!

I appreciate that this is quite an old thread but I thought I'd add a comment/question...
I too downloaded this software and used it to create a custom menu for my Go 500. I found it very easy to use and the custome menu worked great for my needs.
Unfortunately I then updated my software to version 7 and purchased a new UK map to take advantage of the 'map-share' functionality of the version 7 software.
My problem is that now, once I have flagged a location on the map to correct, I have to manually disable my custom menu (rename TomTom.mnu to TomTom.mnu.old) so that I can use the default menu to access the map correction sub-menu.
I have looked at the software site a couple of times to see if the software has been updated to include the map-share functionality but alas it does not look like this had happened yet or whether it is likely too any time soon
Can anyone out there tell me if there is any alternative software that will allow me to add the map-share functionality to my custome website or is it possible to lift the icons off of the default menu some how?
Thanks for you r time.

Wayne, this is not possible when running version 7 software, you can use a custom menu, but only at the cost of MapShare and HelpMe, there is no way (as yet) to add this functionality to a custom menu.
No Custom Menu = MapShare available
Custom Menu = No MapShare availability
