I've updated my 2210 and have had no problem at all. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones _________________ Back the Boys, and make some noise!!

I've just successfully upgraded one of my 2210's. The status screen shows V2.08 291/378.
If anyone is worried about upgrading, I would suggest a soft reset, backing up your Pocket PC with Pocket Backup, and once complete, then install v2.08. This was the path I took. |

Backed up my 2210 as Dave suggested and installed 2.08.
Got the warning "\windows\ttbtdev.dll is in use or in ROM. If the file is not in ROM please close the application using the file". It definitely was not in use.
I carried on with the installation in spite of the warnings that the installation might fail and was rewarded with V2.08 291/378 on the Status screen. All seems to be well and unlike with 2.07 installed, with 2.08 the 2210 now switches on again if I switch it off with a Bluetooth connection open. |

Upgraded yesterday prior to advice given above.
Saw all the warning messages and still unsure if upgrade gone properly.
How do you get to status window to check version?
Using 2210
TIA |

ikesler, no it's only for 2003 support so you won't see any difference.
dmac, in the main navigator safety screen tap the screen, then goto MORE then GPS Status, tap the SETUP tab and you'll see it at the bottom right. |

TomTom have updated the GPS driver for TomTom Navigator 2 to version 2.08, and this can now be downloaded here.
GPS version 2.08 fixes an issue in Windows Mobile 2003 running on iPAQ's where the iPAQ cannot be switched on after switching it off whilst a Bluetooth connection is open with Bluetooth GPS receivers.
Please note that this FIX applies to all iPAQ models. |

Windows Mobile 2003 users beware!
Duncan has installed GPS 2.08 onto a HP iPAQ 2210, and in two cases it has resulted in not powering on again, and has had to require a hard reset (wiping of memory).
We'll be running some tests, this may be an isolated incident, but WM2003 users might want to delay updating to GPS 2.08 for the moment until we can clarify this. |

I updated mine yesterday and there still seems to be the problem of not powering on after using a BT GPS. A soft reset was needed. I'm using the 2210 with the GlobalSat BT receiver.
