I was helping a friend of mine with his new Acer n35 and the Destinator 3 software. He wanted to have german maps and I used the software to send it over to his new Pocket PC and the thing just freezes and I couldnt get Destinator 3 to work again so I reinstalled it. And now it wants the license and activation key but i cant find it! Destinators website says that the license key is in the CD jacket. It came with 2 software CD's och paper sleeves like this
and there is no license key in there! I have searched in the box the Pocket PC came in and nothing is there. Have they done something wrong or must I (he) buy the program once again?
NOTE: I am not searching for an illegal key. |

you should be able to find the registration details in the Destinator Community on their web site (including the option to transfer licenses to other machines) _________________ Lutz

Bismael, hi. Don't know if you got this sorted yet, but if not, maybe this will help.
The licence key should be at the bottom of the front page of a leaflet entitled "Destinator Quick Start Guide" Its a 25 digit alpha numeric code which should have shipped with the product - if not, I suggest you go back to the retailer. Assuming you have located it the online quick activation is the best way and doesn't require the activation key:
Put the original SD card into its slot on the n35, and then connect the n35 to your PC using the USB sync cable. Power on the n35 - can't remember if you should have destinator running on your n35 or not - but make sure no other programs are running. I think I started destinator on the n35 and went to the registration screen on it.
Start the Destinator Console program on your PC. At the top of the window, click on help>QuickActivation.
At some point, the PC asked me to cancel the reg process on the n35.
A window will open asking you to input your licence key - input the licence key and select the type of machine - n35. Then press proceed.
After a few seconds, your PC should return with a message similar to "your destinator software is now registered".
Thats it - click on finish (not next, as stated) it should run.
I don't fully understand the process the web site goes through but it does say on one of the leaflets I have that the SD card holds your destinator licence - it must be in code as part of a file - its certainly not held in a recognisable form in any of the files on the SD card. My understanding is that the web site reads the device id from your n35, compares it with the licence info on the sd card and against the licence key you have input. If its 'happy' with that info, it unlocks the software on the n35. This is undoubtedly to prevent you from registering the software on more than one machine.
Anyway, hope this helps - good luck.
