More than 4 weeks ago I ordered upgrade from TT3 Scandinavia to TT5 Europe and from TT3 USA to TT5 USA. I received TT5 Europe 2 weeks ago, but I have not received TT5 USA. I contacted TT Support, and they say that I have to wait another 5 weeks for TT5 USA.
The problem is that I'm going on a 3 week vacation to the USA next week. So I decided to de-install TT5 and re-install TT3 USA. But that did not work. I received "Activation failed" when installing the program and for each map I tried to install.
I contacted TT Support again, and they say:"When you upgrade, your old product code is immediately blocked and can no longer be activated". I wrote them again, and explained the situation. I told them that I HAD TO re-install TT3 USA because they are not able to send me TT5 USA. I told them that they had to wait to block the TT3 product code until they can ship TT5, but the answer was "No, we can not do that".
What they do must be illegal? I legally own TT3 USA and I have paid for TT5 upgrade, but I can not use any of them!
And the worst part is that TomTom do NOT want to help at all. The last mail I received tells that very clearly:"Unfortunately there is little else we can do."
Do anybody here have some advice. I'm going on my trip to USA in less than a week, and I have NO navigation to use, even if I have paid for both TT2 USA, TT3 USA and TT5 USA! |

I'm sure I read somewhere on here that activation can be bypassed. If you can find who said it, maybe they will tell you how and as such do that. I don't agree with pirating software, but this is different. _________________ HP iPaq rz1710

Yes, this has nothing to do with piracy. I have bought and own TT2, TT3 and have paid (but not received) TT5. And TT knows that.
The problem is, the WILL NOT help! |

Have you tried asking for a refund on your TT5? Then they'd have to re-enable your TT3, surely?
Or, did you write down your activation code previously, or have you got an old backup that you could restore?
There are TT3 keygens out there - as you legally own the software I don't suppose there's any problem with using one. Try googling for it. |

Please no discussions about keygens here.
Runarg, send me a PM and specify where you are going. _________________ Lutz

Alternatively, there's a post on this forum somewhere about using v3 maps with v5. Something about changing the map version number or something...
Seek it out...

Yes, I tried that. And TT5 found my TT3 maps, but asked for activation..... |
